What components do we actually install in a standard electric excavator?
Get an idea of what drives an electric excavator (roughly simplified, of course).
As Uster is demonstrating, the goal for other cities and their numerous construction sites could be to reduce the numerous directly harmful emissions such as particulate matter, nitrogen oxides, ozone and other air pollutants from the combustion process. This is because, according to Bellona (1), 23 % of global CO₂ emissions are caused by the international construction industry. SUNCAR, with its developments and products, is helping to take a big step towards locally emission-free construction sites. In the video, one of our electric excavators is used: this allows a saving of around 6,200 liters of diesel and 10,000 CHF in energy costs, which ultimately results in a saving of 5.5 tons of CO₂.
